Pleasant Hill Scout Shop - Our nearest scout shop can get you set up with uniforms and other gear. Troop 104 supplies new scouts with a handbook and a neckerchief, so you don't need to buy those. Your scout will need a button-up uniform shirt with patches for our troop number and council. The shop can help you figure that out! Other items your scout may want (but are not required) include a scout hat, a woggle (to hold the neckerchief on), and a belt.
BSA Medical Forms - All participants (adults and scouts) attending day trips and camping trips less than 72 hours will need BSA medical forms A&B filled out. Anything longer than 72 hours (summer camp) also requires form C, which MUST be signed by a doctor. Forms are good for one calendar year from the day they are signed.
Merit Badges - Scouts typically earn the majority of their merit badges at summer camp. However, our local council and district put on several one-day events during the year that allow scouts to earn merit badges. Merit badges can also be earned by working individually with a merit badge counselor. All merit badge handbooks are now available as free PDFs - see the full list of merit badges here, and click on each one individually too view the requirements. Scroll to the bottom of the page to download the PDF.
Golden Gate Area Council - Troop 104 is part of the Golden Gate Area Council, which includes all or parts of the following seven Bay Area counties and beyond: San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Solano, Napa, and Lake.
Herms District - The GGAC is divided into smaller districts. Troop 104 belongs to Herms District, which serves units in Albany, Berkeley, and Western Contra Costa County (Crockett, East Richmond, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Hercules, Kensington, Pinole, Port Costa, Richmond, Rodeo, and San Pablo). Herms District is focused around Camp Herms, located here in El Cerrito just above Arlington Park.
Camp Wolfeboro - Scouts of Troop 104 spend one week each summer at historic Camp Wolfeboro, located near Arnold, California. It's a magical place of fantastic natural beauty with staff members who are passionate about making camp a core memory for every scout.
Expense Reimbursement Form - If you purchased something on behalf of the troop and need reimbursement from the treasurer, please fill out this form with the details.Â

Merit Badge Workbooks - Many merit badge counselors and events like to use these merit badge workbooks to help the scouts organize their thoughts. If your scout is attending a merit badge event, printing out the workbook ahead of time and bringing it to the event is a good idea!
